Kids Workshops

FWH Kids Workshops are a wonderful way to foster your child’s curiosity while helping our environment!

During the 1.5 hours with us, you will learn through a lecture, an activity, a snack and story time, ambassador animal encounters, and biofacts! Kids will take home a worksheet, a pin, and a craft, along with any brochures you would like.

Our workshop topics currently include: Jr. Wildlife Rehabbers, Adaptation Adventurers, Bird Nerds, Burrowing Buddies, Conservation Crew, Habitat Heroes, Nocturnal Naturalists, Outdoor Explorers, Owl Observers, Plant Pals, & Pollinator Partners. We host workshops all year round. Suggested age range for Kids Workshops is 3-10 years old. Snack will include an Apple & Eve juice box and Member’s Mark animal crackers. If these foods do not fit within your families food restrictions, you may bring your own to eat during story time. All workshops typically are held outside, but can be moved indoors for extreme heat, cold or rain. Refunds are only available upon the cancellation of a workshop by FWH. Cancellations will be communicated at least 24 hours prior to registrants via email.  Any questions before registering? Email [email protected]*

Running Wild 2026

Take a walk – or run – on the wild side! On Sunday, September 27th, we will be hosting a 5k at Wickham Park to raise money for our patient care.

You can join the race in person or virtually! To sign up for the race, click here!

Not able to participate in the athletics? Come meet our ambassador animals or learn more about our facility during our awards ceremony. A tabletop with biofacts, brochures, and merchandise will be there the whole time if you would like to stop by!
