JOB DESCRIPTION:

  •  may be up to 37.5 hours per week (depending on position)
  •  variable hours, including weekends and holidays
  •  care and feeding a variety of species including orphaned or injured wildlife
  •  record keeping
  •  diet preparation
  •  maintaining cleanliness in animal care areas
  •  general hospital cleaning, including mopping floors, laundry, dishwashing

REQUIREMENTS:

  • able to work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather
  • able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • have an up-to-date tetanus shot or be able to get one prior to starting work

  • possess good communication skills, a positive attitude, be able to follow directions, and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Represent and be an ambassador for the wildlife hospital at all times
  • Establish and maintain positive, cooperative, and effective working relations with fellow employees and volunteers
  • Provide high-quality care, including cleaning, enrichment, training, and medical treatments, to the animals in the education collection
  • Complete thorough documentation of animal care using AnimalCare or other software
  • Work with the Outreach Manager to create and update various programs, including camps, homeschool programs, workshops, scout programs, public and private school programs, virtual programs, and special event programs
  • Deliver highly engaging and empowering interpretive programs to people of all ages about the animals in the education collection and how to help and co-exist with wildlife
  • Safely transport animals and other education supplies to and from offsite program locations
  • Demonstrate responsible animal handling skills at all times
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating outreach programs
  • Knowledgeable about how to operate and troubleshoot all electronic equipment for doing programs
  • Communicate changes in inventory of education supplies to Outreach Manager
  • Responsible for the setup, maintenance, and cleanup of all education and program spaces
  • Follow all sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures
  • Assist Outreach Manager with training and managing outreach volunteers
  • Adheres to all Florida Wildlife Hospital policies and procedures

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Provide top-notch customer service
  • Being attentive to guest and animal needs
  • Identify and work compassionately with guests in various emotional states
  • Work patiently with distressed, frustrated, or disgruntled guests or callers
  • Answer and triage phone calls from the general public
  • Intake patients
  • Manage and create records for all new patients
  • Guest and caller education
  • Assist in cleaning the hospital including but not limited to: keeping reception desk area and lobby clean and sanitary, taking out the trash and recycling, laundry, cleaning floors, bathrooms, kitchen, and carriers if needed
  • Process payment transactions for merchandise, donations, and memberships
  • Maintain proper documentation in the electronic medical records
  • Relay appropriate information to/from the public to staff and/or management.
  • Computer skills: Able to use Windows based computer systems, word processing, email, web search.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

–    May work up to 20 hours per week

–    Flexible hours, including possible weekends, holidays, and during hurricane preparations and recovery

–    Lead a team of volunteers to complete maintenance projects and other maintenance tasks as listed below

–    Lawn care following safety procedures and using proper PPE, including using riding mower, string trimmer and pruning tools, etc.

–    HVAC filter changes, drain cleaning, and other maintenance

–    Understand products and materials for maintenance and construction

–    Maintenance and safe use of all equipment including golf carts, generators, mowers, HVAC units, power tools and more

–    Safety checks including fire extinguisher checks, emergency light tests and others

–    Other general maintenance tasks not listed here

–    Help coordinate construction projects done by outside contractors

–    Assist with quotes and estimates to be used for grant writing

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Have a general understanding of construction, HVAC, plumbing, general repairs, and lawn care

Key Responsibilities:
1. Fundraising Strategy:
– Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and execute an effective fundraising
strategy aligned with the organization’s goals.
– Identify and explore new fundraising opportunities and initiatives, especially major gifts.
– Communicate with the grant writer to prevent duplication of efforts.
2. Donor Relations:
– Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, institutional
funders, and other major donors.
– Create and implement stewardship programs to acknowledge and recognize donors including
correspondence, small events, and more.
3. Communication:
– Develop and implement communication strategies to effectively convey the organization’s
mission and impact to donors and the community.
– Collaborate with the marketing team to create fundraising materials and campaigns.
4. Data Management:
– Maintain accurate donor databases and records.
– Familiar with Donor Perfect CRM software
– Generate regular reports on fundraising activities and donor engagement.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications) or
at least 3 years equivalent experience.
2. Proven experience in fundraising and donor relations within the nonprofit sector.
3. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
